In the name] of God the merciful and compassionate [ ] Quzmān ibn Tamūs, one of the people of the city delivered. He delivered his land, which is in Tenhadrawayah, to Nāfiʿ, client of Yaḥyā ibn Hilal, on condition that he sow all of it. By agreement he [Nāfiʿ] owes none of its kharāj nor its canal and dam assessments, be they little or great. And [whatever] he fallo]ws, there will be kharāj on that. But on the contrary it (i.e. the kharāj) will be to the debit of Quzmān [ibn Tamūs] from his half as will be the ta[x in cro]ps (ḍar[īb]a) from what will be handed over from the end of the threshing floor. And similarly the [ ]ās from the [e]nd of the thre[shing floo]r. While upon N[āfiʿ] is [wa]tering it, g[uar]ding it, tending it, seeding i[t], harvesting it, and all the work related to it, except for what pertains to the kharāj and canal and dam assessments. Thereupon Quzmān delivered to him, and the two of them were satisfied. He delivered that to him comple[tely] year nine and sixty and one hundred.
